Getting Started

How do I enroll my child?

Visit our enrollment page and complete the onboarding questionnaire. You’ll tell us about your child: their age, interests, personality, and what you hope Grove will help with. We’ll configure their profile and you’ll be ready for your first session within 24 hours.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a getting-to-know-you conversation. Grove introduces itself, learns your child’s name, asks about their interests, and starts building the initial knowledge graph. It feels natural and fun, like talking to a curious friend rather than taking a test.

What should I expect in the first week?

By Day 7, you’ll receive your child’s first Blueprint, a cognitive portrait that maps who they are, how they think, and where they’re headed. The first week is about building rapport and the foundational understanding that Grove will refine for years.

Parent Dashboard

How do I read the intelligence reports?

Your dashboard shows real-time developmental metrics across dimensions like curiosity density, reasoning speed, and creative divergence. Each metric includes trend data (week over week, month over month) so you see growth over time, not just snapshots.

How do I manage tracks and pathways?

+

Navigate to Settings → Tracks in your dashboard. You can add, remove, or switch tracks at any time. Changes take effect immediately and Grove will adapt its next session to match.

Can I customize what Grove focuses on?

Yes. In the Parent Configuration panel, you can set priorities, add context about your child’s life, and adjust parameters. That said, Grove will always protect the child. If a configuration would cause harm, Grove will flag it and explain why.

Child App

The voice isn’t working

+

Check that microphone permissions are enabled for the Grove app in your device settings. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app. Voice requires an active internet connection. Offline mode uses text-based interactions.

Sessions feel too short

+

Session length adapts to your child’s engagement and attention patterns. Early sessions tend to be shorter while Grove calibrates. You can adjust the target session length in Settings, but Grove will always respect your child’s natural attention rhythms.

My child forgot their PIN

Parents can reset the child’s PIN from the Parent Dashboard under Settings → Child Access. The PIN is a simple 4-digit code designed for young children. You can also disable the PIN requirement entirely.

Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Your child keeps access through the end of the current billing period. All data is preserved for 90 days in case you come back.

Can I get a refund?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. If you’re within the first 14 days, contact support@exploregrove.com and we’ll process your refund immediately.

How do I change my plan or add a track?

Visit Settings → Billing → Manage Plan. You can upgrade, downgrade, or add individual tracks at any time. Plan changes are prorated, so you only pay for what you use.

Safety

How does the safety system work?

Every input and output is classified in real time. Grove’s Three Laws (Never Lie, Never Harm, Never Replace) are enforced at the system level. If a session detects distress, Grove follows escalation protocols: gentle redirection, parent alerts, and clinical team notification.

What should I do if I’m concerned about something Grove said?

Flag the specific session in your Parent Dashboard using the Report button. Our clinical team reviews every flagged session within 24 hours and will contact you directly with their assessment and any corrective actions taken.

How do I contact the clinical team directly?

Data & Privacy

Can I export my child’s data?

Yes. Go to Settings → Data → Export. You can download your child’s full knowledge graph, session transcripts, developmental reports, and waypoint artifacts in standard formats.

Can I delete my child’s data?

Yes. We support full data deletion per COPPA and GDPR requirements. Go to Settings → Data → Delete All Data. This action is irreversible and permanently removes all data from our systems within 30 days.

Who can see my child’s data?

Only you (the parent) and authorized members of the Grove clinical team. We never sell data and never share it with third parties. Your child’s cognitive development profile is private. Full stop. See our Privacy Policy for details.
